These datasets are a compilation of employee salary and related information contained within the annual reports submitted by public authorities. They contain information regarding whether the public authority has employees or not, and disaggregated salary information (e.g. base pay, bonus pay, overtime pay) of public authority employees, as well as details about the positions (e.g. pay type, title) when the public authority reports that it has employees. The dataset contains information that covers 8 fiscal years, which includes fiscal years ending in the most recently completed calendar year.
The datasets include information about employees of the public authority that appear on the authority's payroll, as well as staff of the public authority that are paid by other entities. Staff are defined as those individuals that perform the activities and operations of the public authority, whether they are employees of the public authority or not. For some of these staff, the compensation amounts reported by the public authority may be $0.
Public authorities are not required to enter information in all the fields of the report. Fields were left blank when the public authority did not provide any information. The ABO is not responsible for verifying the accuracy or reasonableness of the data reported, and does not verify or confirm the accuracy of the data.
